I am pleased to share with you a new farm that I had the privilege
to tour just yesterday. I drove to the end of a state maintained
road to a very special place!
This 146+ acre farm has a lot of features investors are looking for
these days.
The beautiful gently rolling landscape of the private farm is very
lovely. It has approximately 60 acres of fenced and cross fenced
pasture and 87 acres of hardwoods and a few pine trees. The last
time timber was harvested on this farm was 18 years ago. The farm
is currently being used to raise cattle.
It has an old story and a half farm house(fixer upper) with existing
well and septic and 5 outbuildings and barns. The oak in front of
the old house has a circumference of 19.6 feet and is 90 feet tall
and has a spread of 105 feet providing ¼ acre of shade!
There is an old cabin with a rock fireplace hidden under some massive
oak trees.
There is a creek running in and out of one boundary and a couple of
springs on the farm.
The property has a nice population of deer and wild turkey.
The former owners named this farm "The little Ponderosa". For those
of you who are of the right age to remember that popular TV show,
I feel after viewing the incredible panoramic and scenic views from
the farm that it is a deserving name.
The farm is located in Halifax county Va near the Pittsylvania county
line about half way between South Boston, Virginia and Danville, Virginia.
Please call or e mail me today for details, more pictures or a time
to see it next week!
